“The Power Of Attending A Weekend Ho’oponopono Workshop.”

In October 2007 I attended a weekend Ho’oponopono workshop in London with Dr Hew Len.  Over and over again he made the point that in order to be inspired by The Divine, we need to acknowledge that our conscious mind has no awareness of all the ancient memories in our subconscious mind, and that the only way to receive Inspiration and Wisdom from The Divine is to let go and trust.

After lunch, on the first day,  Dr Hew Len shared the story of a family that attended one of his earlier Ho’oponopono weekend workshops. They came to ask him for advice because they were very worried about their son who was addicted to drugs.

“And when someone is faced with this type of situation,” said Dr Hew Len, “what do we usually try to do? We try to save them. But that’s not possible!”

Dr Hew Len went on to tell these people: “We need to realize that our job is not to try to save other people, but rather to try and save ourselves, because if we save our self, other people too will be fine!”

Throughout the weekend, Dr Hew Len repeatedly made the point that since we mostly experience people when we are in ‘memory’, we never see or perceive them as they truly are, and because our conscious mind is so potent, it will struggle to let go. This is why we need to continuously be doing our Ho’oponopono cleaning.

Later on in the afternoon someone raised their hand and asked Dr Hew Len: “What was the reason for that family showing up in your life?”

“It’s very simple,” replied Dr Hew Len, “those people showed up in my experience because we have memories in common. This boy’s parents wouldn’t have told me this story if I was memory free, and they were memory free. When this situation happens with counselors and psychologists,” continued Dr Hew Len, “the usual route they follow is to try and fix it.”

“They will ask ‘why?’ questioning and analyzing the situation” continued Dr Hew Len, “but what they don’t realize is that behind that problem are millions and millions of ancient memories, including all those of family and ancestors.”

Dr Hew Len said that instead of trying to ‘save’ others,  we need to be 100% responsible and do our Ho’oponopono cleaning by looking within ourselves and asking: “What is going on in me that I am experiencing this problem?”

“This,” said Dr Hew Len “indicates to The Divine that we are truly willing to take 100% responsibility for whatever we experience in our life. And what then happens is that The Divine begins the process of taking the memories in the subconscious mind, purifying them and turning them into pure energy.”

The weekend workshop I attended really changed my outlook and was one of the best investments I have made in myself. I realized that as long as I am willing to keep doing my Ho’oponopono cleaning, I will be okay and so will everyone else.
